Foreign direct investment in Ukraine in 2012 may decrease by more than USD 2 billion.
This forecast was made by Oleh Ustenko, the Executive Director of the Bleyzer Foundation, during the signing of a memorandum on cooperation between the State Agency for Investment and National Projects and the Ukrainian Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce.
"This year we expect a slight decline in investment activity of up to USD 4 billion in foreign direct investment. It is quite a lot, but obviously, not much, if we compare this figure to USD 6.2 billion that was drawn last year," the expert emphasized.
At the same time Ustenko considers that Ukraine has a huge potential for investment, but needs more "tough fight for the investor".
