Commodity turnover with Iran grows to over USD 1 billion

By results of 2011, commodity turnover between Ukraine and Iran grew almost twofold and makes up over USD 1 billion, Iranian Ambassador to Ukraine Akbar Ghasemi-Aliabadi told a press conference in Kyiv, Wednesday.
"Over a recent year, commodity turnover between our two countries grew almost twofold, from USD 650-700 million to over USD 1 billion. This testifies to further expansion of commodity turnover," he said.
The Ambassador noted that Iran currently is in the best state its economic and political development. "Currency reserves have been accumulated in Iran to the amount exceeding USD 100 billion. Iran is the 18th among the world economies by growth of gross domestic product. The volume of Iran's commodity turnover with 133 countries currently makes up over USD 139 billion, and the economic growth exceeded 4%," he said.
