China to become the world’s largest trading nation by 2016, Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation says

Hong Kong’s Da Gong Bao newspaper has published a report on the prospects of global trade by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, which says that in 2014 China is expected to overtake the United States in terms of trade volume and will be the world’s largest trading nation in 2016.
China will become the world’s largest trading country in 2016, according to the forecast by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, Xinhua reported. The growth of trade in Hong Kong, as an important trading hub for China’s hinterland regions, will exceed the world average in the next six years. The report also says that over the next 15 years the average annual growth in world trade will amount to 86% and in Asia this figure will reach 120%.
