Focus of the day: Germany agreed on Greek bailout
2012-02-28 12:58:35
German Bundestag voted for another bailout fund for Greece on Monday, February 27 th, 2012, moments before S&P cut Greece's long-term credit
rating to "selective default," becoming the second agency to downgrade Athens after it announced a bond swap plan to lighten its debt burden.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel is under a lot of pressure since it took her some additional effort to pass the notion.
AgroInvest comment: We would like to once again emphasize the fact that several governments in Europe are in the situation when economically
sound decisions are not understood and supported by the population. Germany is one of them and as Angela Merkel carries on with those solutions
she finds herself in the situation when she is actually losing her political position and even popularity.
