Poland could beat its 2.5% GDP forecast in 2012 provided no surprises derail what is set to be Europe's fastest growing economy, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a Saturday press briefing.
"I maintain my very cautious optimism on this matter - if nothing unexpected or exceptional happens then we have a real chance to excess this level," Tusk said of the 2.5% GDP growth mark.
Poland built its 2012 budget on a 2.5% GDP growth forecast. That figure was largely confirmed in the European Commission's latest forecasts.
