Ukraine could harvest 42 m t of grain under pessimistic forecast, 50 m t of grain under optimistic forecast, says minister

The grain harvest this year in Ukraine could reach 42 million tonnes under the pessimistic forecast, and 50 million tonnes under the optimistic forecast, Agrarian Policy and Food Minister of Ukraine, Mykola Prysiazhniuk, has said.
"Under the optimistic forecast, we expect the gross grain harvest to be around 50 million tonnes, and under the pessimistic forecast, unfortunately, we predict within 42 million," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.
He also said that the ministry expects that gross bread wheat harvest this year will reach some 16 million tonnes.
