Azarov: Trade between Ukraine and Russia grows to USD 56 billion in 2011

Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov says the trade between Ukraine and Russia soared to USD 56 billion in 2011.
Prime Minister Azarov announced this on the First National TV Channel on Friday.
Azarov noted that the result is even higher than the presidents - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych - projected for 2011.
The prime minister of Ukraine noted that the trade turnover between the two countries develops regardless of the trade disputes on some groups of commodities.
Prime Minister Mykola Azarov also announced that the Ukrainian foreign trade turnover in 2011 grew to the record high result of over USD 171 billion.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the deficit of the Ukrainian foreign trade in commodities and services grew in 2011 by USD 3.722 billion over 2010, to USD 6.747 billion.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the commodity turnover between Russia and Ukraine grew by 40% in 2011 to more than USD 50 billion.
