Export of Belarusian Agriculture Ministry enterprises at $2.5bn in 2011

Enterprises run by the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry exported $2.479 billion worth of merchandise in 2011, 112% as against 2010, the press service of the Ministry told BelTA.
The dominating exports were dairy products (58.6%), meat and meat products (30.4%), casein (3.4%), eggs (1.5%).
Russia was the main trade partner that bought $2,208.9 million worth of exports, 10% up on 2010. Export to other CIS states amounted to $156.8 million in 2011, 40% up on 2010.
Non-CIS exports totaled $113.2 million, 20.7% up on 2010, with the share of the European Union at $91.3 million, 10.4% up. The non-CIS exports were casein, flax fiber, cattle hides.
In 2011 enterprises operated by the Agriculture and Food Ministry exported their make to 48 countries. The largest buyers were Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Moldova, the USA and China.
In 2011 the foreign trade surplus in the system of the Agriculture and Food Ministry amounted to $1.432 billion, $76.3 million up from 2010.
