Since the beginning of the current marketing year (MY, July-June) as of February 1, Ukraine exported 11.44 million tons of grain crops, which is 62.5% up against indexes for the same date of the previous marketing year.

As the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry informed, in particular, as of February 1, corn export increased 3.3 fold to 6.45 million tons, wheat - by 14.4 % to 2.95 million tons (out of these, 1.64 million tons of milling wheat and 1.31 million tons of fodder wheat). At the same time, barley export reduced by 18.2% tо 1.94 million tons.

In January, 1.92 million tons of grain cultures was exported, including 1.38 million tons of corn, 0.47 million tons of wheat and only 72,000 tons of barley.

According to a forecast of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry, with full provision of the internal need and formation of necessary transit stocks of grain cultures, grain export in 2011/2012 MY may be 26.2 million tons, out of these, wheat - 7.5 million tons.

Ukraine, in 2011, according to State Statistics preliminary data, gathered 56.7 million tons of grain in clean weight, which is 44.3% up against 2010 indexes.
