Strategically, the EU regards Ukraine as a very important partner, Executive Director of the International Bleyzer Foundation Oleh Ustenko told a press conference.
The expert believes that Ukraine is a kind a "buffer zone" for the European Union. Therefore, the Europeans do not need any excessive tension here.
"Ukraine is a large market of USD 150 billion a year, a territory with fruitful black soils. We are between the EU and Russia," Ustenko noted. "At the same time, China also considers Ukraine as a strategic territory for bringing its goods to the European markets," the expert added.
Therefore, according to him, the European choice of Ukraine is supported by a number of foreign business representatives.
Ustenko also noted that even in case of the EU economy recession, it will remain to be the world's largest. "We receive 80% of investments from the EU," the expert emphasized.
