Bleyzer Foundation predicts 3-3.5% GPD growth in Ukraine

Ukraine's GDP growth next year may reach some 3-3.5%, below the 2012 budget target of 3.9% growth, Bleyzer Foundation Executive Director Oleg Ustenko told UKRINFORM.
According to the expert, 50% of Ukrainian GDP falls on goods exports and worsening of global economic situation will affect foreign economic activity of Ukraine.
"Our own forecast, which we are making for Ukraine, is based on the fact that the U.S. economy is in recession. We look forward to in 2012 absolutely adynamic growth, if any, as such, will be in the European Union," he said.
The expert added that significant risks are also associated with a deficit of state budget of Ukraine.
"We should pay tribute to the government, for it continues its logic in an attempt to reduce budget deficits, not to build up additional debt. However, even that 2.5% deficit, which is planned in the budget 2012, needs to be financed, and a huge risk for Ukraine's economy is due to the fact that even a small deficit will be difficult to finance in foreign markets," he underscored.
