Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov considers that agreement on free trade area within the CIS imperfect, but only positive for Ukraine. The Head of the Government informed about this users of social network Facebook.

"At a press conference after the signing of the Treaty on the FTA within the CIS, I appreciated it as imperfect. ... However, I stress again, this contract is only good for our country" - Mykola Azarov emphasized, adding that the signing of the Treaty - a big step forward.

The Head of the Government noted that the shortcomings of the Treaty related to the existence within the CIS of the Customs union of three countries: Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus, among which there are no customs borders and there is free movement of goods.

"It is obviously that these countries want that within the limits of the FTA will be considered possibility of getting duty-free goods from countries outside the Customs Union. So in the Treaty, there are certain positions that allow countries of the Customs Union in case of significant economic loss after the consultation to take certain protective measures. This corresponds with WTO rules, and certainly no objection against it. However, how it will be implemented in practice so far unclear. This is one of the reservations, according to which I called this Agreement imperfect"- Mykola Azarov said.
