According to experts, the harvest of cereals in 2012 will be 45 million tons. This is more than 10 million tons less than the record harvest of 2011. According to the company UkrAgroConsult, this is the initial crop forecast.

Wheat crop is forecast at 14.5 million tons.

Even under favorable winter conditions, in the spring it will be necessary to reseed 1.5-2 million hectares of winter crops. The 2012 crop will largely depend on the accumulation of moisture in the soil over the winter period.

According to preliminary data, grain harvest in 2011 will amount to 56.4 million tons in clean weight. This figure is 43.5% or 17.1 million tons more than in 2010.
