$65 billion of foreign investments required in 2012 - Bleyzer Foundation

The need for financing Ukraine in 2012 will be $65 billion, according to executive director of the Bleyzer international foundation Oleh Ustenko.
"Given the many factors and people's demand for foreign currency, as well as worsening current account in 2012, Ukraine may have theoretical need for external financing of $65 billion. This requirement will exert a great pressure on the exchange rate," he stressed.
According to experts of the European Business Association (EBA), the domestic tax agencies' efforts undermine investors' confidence in Ukraine's market.
According to the EBA, Ukraine has lost 250 million euros of possible investment due to the fiscal pressure from the tax service and corruption of public servants.
According to a study of the association, the level of investors' confidence in the Ukrainian market in the 4th quarter of 2011 fell to a record low for the year.
