Prices expected to rise next year

Experts predict the price of almost everything, including electricity, gas, plane tickets and cigarettes, will rise in 2012, reported Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
From January 1, 2012, excise duty on cigarettes will rise from z?.158.36 to z?.170.97 per 1000 units, which means the price of a packet will rise by 30 groszy. Airline tickets could be as much as 10 to 15 percent higher, with further increases expected during Euro 2012, while excise duty on diesel will increase from z?.1048 to z?.1196 per thousand liters and result in a price hike of 10 groszy.
But it’s not all bad news. Among the few things which are expected to drop in price are telecommunication services, sugar and electrical appliances.
