No default will be in Ukraine in 2012-2013 - Capital Times expert

In 2012-2013, there will be no default in Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by partner of Capital Times investment company Eric Naiman.

He reminded that recently a considerable amount of budget funds was sent to holding UEFA EURO 2012.

"EURO 2012, which was a large tax and budget pressure over recent three years will complete. Thus, for 2012, expenses for preparation for the European Football Championship may be estimated at UAH 10 billion (1 USD - 7.99 UAH). Respectively, for 2013 that money can be sent to new investment projects," Naiman underscored.

"If world markets are closed due to the world economic crisis, those funds can be sent to repayment of the state debt. Therefore, I do not expect a default in Ukraine or even its signs either in 2012 or in 2013," he added.

To remind, the European Football Championship will be held since June 8 and until July 1, 2012, in Ukraine and Poland. In Ukraine, the tournament will be hosted by four cities: Kyiv, Donetsk, Lviv and Kharkiv.
