Ukraine, Canada double goods turnover

Over January-November 2011, Ukraine and Canada doubled commodity turnover by 52% tо USD 306 million. At the same time, export of Ukrainian commodities to Canada grew by 90%, Chairman of the State Customs Service Ihor Kaletnik has said during a meeting with Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Troy Lulashnyk.
As the press service informed, the head of the State Customs Service proposes in the nearest future to hold a joint meeting with economic entities. The aim of the meeting is to jointly determine urgent issues requiring solution and to tell businessmen about new possibilities and advantages provided by a new wording of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
Lulashnyk, in turn, noted that it is very pleasant for him to hear about such positive legislative amendments. According to him, simplification and transparency of customs procedures are very important for development of business of both countries. He said that he is convinced that jointly it is possible to achieve serious results.
