EBRD invests some 80 million euro in Armenia

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) invested about 80 million euro in Armenia in 2011, head of the EBRD office in Yerevan, Valery Razlog, said.
Some other projects will be signed by the end of 2011, he said at the ceremony of signing a deal with Armeconombank on financing of $6 million for micro, minor and medium business on Thursday.
Razlog noted that that the EBRD has invested over 470 million euro since 1992. He clarified that the sums were distributed in all sectors of economy, including the bank sector.
The EBRD is one of the largest Armenian investors, realizing over 100 programs in finances, corporate, energy and infrastructure spheres. About 92% of investments were spent on private business.
