Russia-Ukraine trade turnover to exceed $50 billion this year

Ukraine and Russia consider insufficient the level of bilateral cooperation in investment area and intend to intensify it. Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said this during their meeting in Moscow, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
"In investment sector, we still have much work to do for your investment to come to Ukraine and ours to Russia," Azarov said during his meeting with Putin.
In turn, the Russian Prime Minister informed that the Russian investments in Ukraine's economy in the current year exceeded one billion dollars, and Ukrainian investments into Russian economy reached over USD 325 million. "This is extremely low for both states, and it is necessary to think about how to increase them," Putin said.
In addition, both sides expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral trade and economic relations. This year the Ukrainian-Russian trade turnover will exceed $50 billion.
