The Bosnian agrofood industry risks collapse with Croatia’s entry into the European Union says analysis

According to an analysis by the Bosnian Chamber of Commerce, the Bosnian agrofood industry risks collapse with Croatia’s entry into the European Union on July 1, 2013, Fars news agency reported.
The analysis states that local enterprises - and especially agrofood ones will lose their most important foreign market since they will no longer be able to export to the nearby country under current conditions, and especially not milk, meat and other products of an animal origin. The document claims that Bosnian authorities should adopt urgent measures and approve the law on a system of state subsidies as well as to ensure in the process of labour adjustment and support funds for enterprises and the competent institutions, first of all by setting up EU-recognised, in accordance with European standards.
