The overall trade turnover between Ukraine and Russia will reach approximately 54 billion dollars this year, Valery Muntyan, the Ukrainian government's envoy for cooperation with Russia, CIS and EurAsEC countries, said on Thursday.

"The total value with commodities and services will amount to 54 billion dollars for 2011," he said.

Muntyan recalled that the heads of state had earlier arranged for this index reaching 50 billion dollars. In the opinion of the government's envoy, the growth of reciprocal trade resulted, above all, from the Ukrainian authorities establishing "basically normal relations with Russia.
