Romania. GDP up in third quarter

Romania's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was up by 1.8 per cent in the third quarter this year, compared to the previous one, the National Statistics Institute (INS) said today (Tues).
It increased by 4.4 per cent compared to the third quarter in 2010, while the growth for the first nine months was 2.7 per cent, INS data showed.
The GDP for the third quarter was 33 billion Euros (143,467 billion RON), triggered especially by agriculture, industry and construction sectors.
Agriculture registered an increase of 22.1 per cent, followed by the construction sector - 6.9 per cent and industry - 5.9 per cent.
Total consumption also increased by 2.8 per cent.
