The Commission for Protection of Competition allowed the merger of Postbank and Alpha Bank Bulgaria. The merger is a result of the merger between EFG Eurobank Ergasias and Alpha Bank in Greece. The new financial institution will become the third larges bank in Bulgaria in terms of assets. The deal will have no negative effect on the banking market in Bulgaria, CPC said.
