Ukraine exported 2.089 million tons of grain in November 2011, the director of the department for economic development and agricultural market at the Ukrainian Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry, Serhiy Kvasha, has said.

Since the beginning of the 2011/2012 marketing season (July 2011 through June 2012) until November 28, the country exported 6.808 million tons of grain.

This was 1.68 million tons more compared with the same date in 2010, but 4.44 million tons less than on November 28, 2009.

As of November 28, 2011, Ukraine exported, in particular, 2.14 million tons of wheat (1.155 million tons of bread wheat and 985,000 tons of fodder wheat), 1.836 million tons of barley, and 2.756 million tons of corn.

Kvasha also noted that as of November 28, Ukrainian ports had 1.172 million tons of grain, including 396,000 tons of wheat, 168,000 tons of barley, and 599,000 million tons of corn.

As reported, as of November 26, 2011, Ukraine threshed 56 million tons of grain, which was 35.3% more than on the same date in 2010.

Ukraine could export around 27 million tons of grain.
