Ukraine, India could increase trade to USD 5 billion by 2015

Ukraine and India could increase bilateral trade to USD 5 billion per year by 2015, Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma said at a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryshchenko on Friday.
Hryshchenko arrived on an official visit to India.
The sides stressed the importance of conducting in the near future the fourth session of the Ukrainian-Indian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical, industrial and cultural cooperation and the first meeting of the working group on trade. They also emphasized the need to intensify cooperation in order to participate in joint projects on the markets of third countries.
Hryshchenko also noted the readiness of Ukrainian government and private entities to participate in a number of national infrastructure projects in India.
As reported, bilateral trade between Ukraine and India could reach USD 2.5 billion in 2011 with a significant surplus for Ukraine.
