Ukraine harvested 55.99 million tons of grain as of November 24, 2011. Grain and leguminous crops were threshed on an area of 15.05 million hectares, or 98% of the target. The average yield of these crops in the country was 37.2 quintals per hectare compared to 28.4 quintals per hectare on the same date last year, the Ukrainian Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry has reported.

Farmers harvested 20.4 million tons of corn from an area of 3.29 million hectares (92% of the target), with its average yield being 61.9 quintals per hectare, whereas in 2010 the figure was 45.9 quintals per hectare.

Ukraine also threshed 2.24 million tons of soybeans from an area of 1.107 million ha (99% of the target), with its average yield being 20.3 quintals per hectare, whereas in 2010 the figure was 16.1 quintals per hectare.
