Trade between Ukraine and Slovakia grew by 50% in seven months

Trade between Ukraine and Slovakia grew by 50% in the first seven months of 2011, First Secretary at Slovakia's Consulate General in Uzhgorod Alexander Skurla has said.
"In the first seven months of this year, the trade turnover between Slovakia and Ukraine grew by nearly 50%. This shows that our cooperation is developing, and we can also develop it with your region and the city of Ivano-Frankivsk," he said.
Skurla said that Slovak companies were ready to cooperate in the modernization of Ukrainian industry and agriculture, the transfer of technology and know-how and to use various programs of the European Union.
"We are ready to consider concrete projects with concrete conditions, and we hope that we can achieve concrete results if there is a desire," he said.
