Inflation hits 8.1% since start of year - Statistics Service

Russia's consumer price inflation was unchanged at 0.2% between December 6 and December 13 for a sixth week in a row and rose to 8.1% since the start of the year, the Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
"In the period between December 6 and December 13, 2010, the consumer price inflation index, according to the Russian Statistics Service, amounted to 100.2%, 100.4% since the start of the month, 108.1% since the start of year," the service said in a statement.
In 2009, consumer prices rose 0.2% from start of December, 8.6% since the start of 2009 and 0.4% in the whole of December, the service added.
